Restoring A Person Through Judging

Paul, in Gal. 6:1 says, "if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently...".

I have recently heard of a Christian lady who moved out of her home and away from her husband in order to live with a non Christian man.  This lady is part of a church home group.  Everyone in the group except for one couple was in favour of helping her relocate her things.  No one seemed to want to talk to this lady about the sin she was committing by leaving her husband and moving in with another man.

I assume part of the reason why no one wanted to speak to this issue was maybe out of fear.  Some suggested that helping her move was an act of love and would speak volumes to her.

In my thinking this act of so-called love would speak volumes, but not the right volumes. Someone should have judged this situation, told her what she was doing was sin, and helped restore her if she wanted restoration.

Our mentality that says not to judge others does not work in this situation.  In order to restore a person from sin, you must first judge them and their situating.
