About Jesus Steve Sweetman As It Was In The Days Of Noah "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the son of man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark, and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away." (Mat. 24:37-39) As I look at this scripture once again, as I have so many times before, I realize more than ever what it is saying. The people in Noah's day were not expecting any kind of world calamity. They were going about their business as usual. "They knew nothing about what would happen, until the flood came". These people were clueless, as we would say today. This is exactly the situation today, as we move away from a Christian consciousness. We "know nothing" about what will happen at the end. We carry on with our routine of living without having any knowledge of upcoming calamity. It will surprise people as a thief in the night. One sad note is this. Noah warned the people of his day, but they didn't clue in for one reason or another. There are many people warning us today in various ways, but still the day will come as one major surprise. I am so glad for the grace of God and the love of Jesus that has reached to me so that day will not overtake me.
