       Here's The Deal      

Our English word "deal," formerly not associated with politics but now is, has now become politically popular.  Google says "the word 'deal' primarily refers to a business agreement or a mutually beneficial arrangement.  As a noun, it can also mean a special discount on a product, a large quantity (e.g., 'a great deal'), or a turn to distribute playing cards.  As a verb, it means to distribute, to trade, or to manage an issue".  According to Google's definition, I suggest our word "covenant", a familiar Biblical word, could also be considered a deal. 

When thinking of Biblical covenants, I refer you to the "Adamic Covenant" where you might say that God declared His deal to humanity.  Although I really don't like the word "deal" in relation to any Biblical covenant, according to today's Googleized definition, God declared His deal when He commanded Adam not to eat of that tree, and "when you eat from it you will certainly die" (Genesis 2:17).  In today's vernacular, God said, "Okay Adam, this is the deal.  No questions asked.  Do as I say or die".  

When it comes to Genesis 1 through 3 we have very little documentation of the exact details of what is written.  What is documented is that humanity ignored God's covenant, His deal.  Immediately, decay leading to death began to consume creation, as Romans 8:20 to 22 states.  "For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it ... the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time".  Entropy, that is decay leading to death, is our constant reality and will be until Jesus puts "all his enemies under his feet.  The last enemy to be destroyed is death" (1 Corinthians 15:25). 

Here's the Googleized question.  "Since God, who is the ultimate universal authority, made the "Adamic Deal", who really holds the ultimate universal cards?  The answer is obvious.  Also in today's vernacular, "Who ends all of the deadly wars that brings about the final and lasting peace?  The answer is also obvious. 

Someday we'll see the death of death.  We'll proclaim that "death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death" (Revelation 20:14).  Like the apostle John, you and I will see "a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away" (Revelation 21:1).

So there you go.  God confidently, but not arrogantly, made a deal that humanity ignored, causing death to consume creation until the One who holds all of the cards brings about lasting universal peace by destroying death that leads to a new universe.  So, do you think that God is chomping at the bit, desperate to make this final end-of-this-age deal?  No, He is not.  He will do what He wants and when He wants.  Is He frustrated that no one has thought about Him winning the Nobel Peace Prize.  I doubt it.  How about I nominate God as the ultimate universal winner of the "Nobel Peace Prize".  Does anyone second my nomination?
